Dear competitors,
Marlink staff is glad to see you soon on the Rally.

Before proceeding to your order please read carefully all the information and documents of this page.

I. SECURITY AND TRACKING DEVICES :
- Included in your Dakar participation fees (no need to order it)
- Mandatory for each competitor

Delivered at the administrative checks, before the start of the rally : Omsk 30th of June and 1st of July.

Iritrack: Sophisticated satellite tracking and security system providing reliable two-way data and voice communications in a single device.

Distress Beacon: Complementary safety device that must be used only in cas of medical emergency.

II. ORDER YOUR EQUIPMENT

1. Mounting Accessories

Iritrack requires a complete mounting kit: bracket, cabling, antennas.
Confer to the MOUNTING GUIDE CAR/SSV for detailed information.
Then verify your need and order your missing piece(s) or a complete kit.

An Iritrack remote is availbale in the mounting accessories.
If needed it allows to earn space on your vehicle dashboard.

Your vehicle must be presented at the scrutineering with the mounting kit fully set up on your vehicle, ready to receive the Iritrack !

2. Survival Equipment
Marlink provides the elementary survival equipment: aluminium blanket, distres mirror, strobe lamp, compass, light stick.

3. Satellite Phone Rental
Marlink rents last generation of Satellite Phone to contact anyone, anywhere in the world.
The device comes with SIM card including 60 minutes of communication(towards GSM or Iridium network).
Communication towards other satellites networks and additionnal communication will be invoiced at the end of the Rally.

III. DEPOSIT PROCESS

A deposit will be systematically requested before handover of any equipment: Iritrack, Distress beacon, Satellite Phone.
In order to spare time during the administrative checks you can fill up the DEPOSIT FORM and send it to: services.events@marlink.com

In case you would have not sent this document, make sure to have your credit card with the amount available at the administrative checks.
